Dick’s Last Resort
When you’re short of time and need somewhere conveniently close to The Wharf Amphitheater, Dick’s Last Resort is less than 10 minutes’ walk away. It offers a dining experience unlike any other. The motto here is “Food and drinks served with a side of sarcasm” and you can expect an unusual type of service, with the odd insult and plenty of adult humor. If you are easily offended, this probably isn’t the place for you, as it is widely known as the rudest restaurant in the US.
The menu is just as crazy as the service, with some rudely named dishes, mostly consisting of seafood, steak, and fried chicken. The Big Meat Challenge is not for the faint-hearted. But if you think you can polish off 2 steaks, a 12” sausage, macho nacho, lashings of cheddar mashed taters and heaps of broccoli in under an hour, you’ll get it free!
Louisiana Lagniappe
