Dick’s Last Resort

When you’re short of time and need somewhere conveniently close to The Wharf Amphitheater, Dick’s Last Resort is less than 10 minutes’ walk away. It offers a dining experience unlike any other. The motto here is “Food and drinks served with a side of sarcasm” and you can expect an unusual type of service, with the odd insult and plenty of adult humor. If you are easily offended, this probably isn’t the place for you, as it is widely known as the rudest restaurant in the US.

The menu is just as crazy as the service, with some rudely named dishes, mostly consisting of seafood, steak, and fried chicken. The Big Meat Challenge is not for the faint-hearted. But if you think you can polish off 2 steaks, a 12” sausage, macho nacho, lashings of cheddar mashed taters and heaps of broccoli in under an hour, you’ll get it free!

Louisiana Lagniappe

At the completely opposite end of the dining experience spectrum, the Louisiana Lagniappe is an upscale Creole-inspired restaurant serving tantalizing seafood and steak dishes. From twin lobster tails to filet mignon, the waterfront restaurant on Perdido Beach Boulevard is one of the highest-rated restaurants in the area. If you enjoy fine dining with a view, make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Louisiana Lagniappe is a 15-minute drive from The Wharf Amphitheater, located in one of the quieter and more relaxed areas of Orange Beach. Meals at the Louisiana Lagniappe are at the higher end of the price range of Orange Beach restaurants.

Located over Perdido Pass Bridge, the contemporary restaurant offers waterfront dining with stunning views across the bay. Popular dishes on the menu include fresh seafood, steak, and surf and turf options. The firecracker shrimp, crab bisque, and the seasonal butcher’s block are all highly recommended.
